We had our 2nd trimester ultrasound today and we found out that we are going to have a son! Shawn won the bet, I had a pretty vivid dream last night that it was a girl, but Shawn guessed boy. He was not shy at all but moved around a ton. It was so weird to see him move and feel it at the same time! We are so excited for this new adventure!!

Here is a picture of my 20 week belly for my sisters...I figured they might hurt me if I didn't put up pictures soon! (Ignore the cheesy face, I wasn't feeling very photogenic, ha)

17 weeks

Well I am 17 weeks along today and I had another doctor's appointment. Everything went well, we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time, it was pretty exciting. We convinced them to set our next appointment as soon as we could so that we can find out the sex. So it is set for November 10th!! 20 days away! I'm so excited! We need your votes on what you think it will be!!

And The Countdown Begins..!!

Well... the rumor is true...

WE ARE EXPECTING!! :)

I am due March 31st! About 13 weeks along, just barely out of that first trimester!! I've been feeling so-so so, it is not near as bad as it could be or I thought it would be. I think I've actually been pretty lucky. We had our first ultrasound today and Shawn was able to come with me and see the baby, it was so exciting! The ultrasound lady kept telling us that our baby was so photogenic, she could get any shot that she wanted, the baby cooperated perfectly (hopefully we can hold onto that concept of obedience! :)) Everything looks great and we are just waiting for March to roll around!

New York And Back

Well I am back from New York and I had a great time! I got to spend the whole time with Hallie Anne Weyand and I loved it! I definitely forgot my camera but she is a doll and you should look at her pictures from Terra and Jordon's blog! We didn't go out and do a whole lot because Hallie is still so tiny and susceptible to lots of germs (especially in New York) so we just mostly entertained ourselves at home. The night before I left, Jordon did take me to time square and I got some pictures. It was crazy, I still can't believe how many people and taxis were there! ha.

I missed Shawn like crazy while I was there though. We have both decided that 12 days apart is way too long! I had quite the adventure trying to get home to him, but I eventually made it after sitting in a plane waiting to take off for over two hours and then missing my connection by about 6 minutes and spending my night in two chairs pushed together in the freezing airport and having to take an extra flight to get to Boise and then not having my luggage catch me until about 11:00 that night....I'm definitely glad to be home!!

I took lots of pictures, but here are just a couple. Thanks Terra and Jordon for letting me crash with you so long and Jordon for being my chauffeur around New York!

Bored!!

I do nothing all day.

I feel like I am literally just wasting my life away, just waiting for this day to end so the next one can start and then end. It is bad.

I can NOT wait until school starts again.

But first, in less than two weeks I get to go see Terra and Jordon and Hallie in New York. (I just read your blog, and I'm sorry your doctor won't induce you Terra, that can't be very fun, but I'm sure you'll have her before I get there and mom leaves!)

I get to stay there for 11 days and I am very excited!!

I'm also going to miss Shawn a ton. (the longest we have been apart is 2 nights and that is the only time we have been apart in over a year)

A week after I get back from New York, a couple of our friends are getting married here so that will be exciting.

Then two days after that we get to go to Rexburg and live in our own apartment again!!

Yay! I have lots to look forward to...just right now I am feeling very much...bored.

Summer Update

Wow, it has been a while. Well, the biggest news that has happened to us is probably that we survived and are done with asparagus season!! Woohoo!! I couldn't be more excited about that! It was tough, but people kept saying it would be worth it at the end...I'm still not sure if it was worth it, but oh well, I never have to do it again!

Anyway, we also celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary on June 21st. It was pretty exciting. I set up a little scavenger hunt for Shawn around Othello and then he surprised me with a little weekend getaway to Boise when we got back to Idaho. It was a lot of fun. I have lots of pictures but can't find my camera at the moment, so they are coming soon!

Now we are living at Shawn's parents house until the end of August. Shawn just started his new job today at Ontario Golf Course where his good friend is the general manager. So I just sit at home and relax...and die of boredom! I wish I had something to do for the next month and a half. I need to find a new hobby. Any ideas??

Asparagus

This is now what my life revolves around...

When you are eating your aparagus this summer, just think, I could have touched that stalk that you are putting into your mouth! Enjoy! :)

Only 4 weeks to go!!
